Lyndsey was so helpful and cheery all the way through the wedding process. I was looking for an exclusive venue with good food, laid back atmosphere, that didn’t have a conveyor belt of weddings coming through each week. Vallum ticked all the boxes.
The marquee is a blank canvas for decorations, and the tipi is so well decorated, it needed nothing else.
We were allowed into the venue the day before the wedding to set up and allowed to pop back in the day after to get all of our stuff, which was so helpful. Lyndsey also let us use the venue owned decorations at no extra cost, which was a real draw for us as we didn’t want to spend a fortune on a venue dresser.
On the actual day, the staff were so attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Many of our guests with dietary requirements commented on how well they were catered for compared to at other weddings they have attended.
Lyndsey was so busy behind the scenes sorting out our music/firepit lighting/ moving decorations and chairs etc, but we didn’t notice any of this, and it meant that the day flowed seamlessly. And at the end of the night, they collected all our decorations together by the door to make it easier for us in the morning.

Vallum Farm is the most AMAZING wedding venue. It caters to all needs and was very accessible for my 95 year old Grandma, who was able to enjoy her day, due to the cosy area that is provided. Lyndsey has been so hands on and attentive ever since we booked our wedding day. As soon as we saw this venue, we knew it was perfect to us!
We have had so many comments from our family and friends about how beautiful both the venue and food were!

I cannot say enough how amazing this venue and the staff were. The food was incredible (man that chicken and gravy was awesome – and all the vegans were chuffed with their food too!), the staff were helpful and informative, the service was top notch. We couldn’t be happier that we chose Vallum for our wedding. We got the sense early on that the venue was beautiful but fun, friendly and relaxed, and that’s exactly what we got. The surroundings and the marquee and tipi make it a great space, but it’s the team that makes it really special. Vicky made the whole process really clear to us, which made planning the day so much more enjoyable and stress-free. In the lead up to the day itself, no question was too silly for Lyndsey, who planned everything meticulously and always with a smile on her face. This continued throughout the whole day: we were completely blown away by Lyndsey and her team’s genuine warmth and attention to detail – from making sure the mother of the bride didn’t miss out on a glass of rosé to making sure the bride got her evening pizza! – and we know our guests felt the same. For two people who were slightly daunted by wedding planning, the whole experience was brilliant, and that’s thanks to the team at Vallum; we can’t recommend them highly enough.

We booked our wedding at Vallum Farm back in 2019, for June 2022. As soon as we walked into the venue, we just knew it was for us. A very relaxed and bright feel inside the marquee, with a cosy, chilled vibe in the tipi on the lawn. The whole venue was a blank canvas which we loved as we could be creative and make it our own. Vicky is so lovely and welcoming. When we received our first bride and groom brochure, she really did think of everything! Every little detail was covered. Lyndsey was new to the team when our wedding day was approaching, but you would think she’d been there since the beginning. With her bubbly personality and positive attitude, she’s a credit to the team. Nothing was too much for Vicky and Lyndsey. They couldn’t be more helpful, and they made sure every little detail was perfect for our day. Any requests we had they made happen and that was what meant the most to us! From changing the ceremony set up around for us, to taking extra care of us and all of our guests. They truly went above and beyond. The staff on the day were always ensuring us and our guests had everything we needed, and our guests said the bar staff were great and a good laugh!! The food was absolutely amazing! Canapes were spot on. Everyone commented on how gorgeous the dinner was and the chocolate brownie & honeycomb was amazing! We couldn’t recommend Vallum Farm and their amazing team enough! Great venue, lovely staff and delicious food! Vallum was the third wedding venue we viewed but we instantly fell in love with it. It’s beautiful countryside surroundings and super friendly team made it the venue for us. From our first visit up until the big day, all of the staff helped us so much! Vicky and Alice particularly were always willing to answer any question we had and do their best to make it a very special day, which it was! They worked with us, our families and our other suppliers on all our ideas for the day. It was a more affordable option than similar venues but still delivered all we could hope for. Great value for money with all the extras thrown in (decorations, the outside tipi, fire pits etc.) And the priceless personal touch given by the team who genuinely cared!

Our wedding at Vallum was simply beautiful. The tipi/marquee and surroundings captured exactly what we were looking for and Alice and Vicky were so flexible, offering solutions to suit both our personal style and budget. Our guests loved the relaxed atmosphere and are still talking about the delicious food which again, was tailored perfectly to our requirements. There was a particular moment I recall while dancing with our 2 Labradors when I suddenly realised how amazing it was that we were able to share such an important day with not only our family and friends but our beloved pets too and the beautiful surroundings made for some perfect photographs. Me and James got married on the 30th May 2019 at Vallum Farm. After 1 year of being engaged and planning the wedding with Vicky and Alice we can say our experience was very enjoyable! We had a blast talking about decorations, food and planning the whole day with them. The day went smoothly, and Alice ensured everything was perfect for us! We were allowed to decorate the room the night before which was extremely helpful! We had none stop food and drink from Vallum Farm which made us feel like king and queens on the day. Vicky and Alice are so friendly, and you feel you can tell them anything, good and bad which is a real positive when it comes to wedding planning. Vicky helped us step by step plan the wedding as me and my husband James had no idea what a wedding entailed at times! They truly looked after us and made our day very special. Vallum Farm will be a place which will forever remain in our hearts and Vicky and Alice will also have a space in our hearts forever. Vallum farm is a magical place, its beautiful and filled with gorgeous greens and animals. The indoor space easily catered for our crowd of 130 and the terrace outside looked fab in the sunshine. There were plenty of places for people with tired feet to sit down and the Tipi was a fun twist. The food was simply incredible; we’ve had numerous comments from guests that the food on the day was the best they have had at any wedding! The black pudding scotch eggs are still being talked about and the feasting boards were great fun for a large farming crowd. No query was too big or small in the run up to the day. Thank you so much for helping it run so smoothly and to all the staff that helped on the night and at the BBQ the next day. We just had our wedding at Vallum Farm. We had an amazing day. All the staff were fantastic. They looked after us and the guests very well. Everyone loved the venue and the setting. The food was delicious – canapés, starters, main course and desserts! The whole wedding planning process was relaxed and informal. It was great to be able to decorate the venue ourselves and bring our own alcohol. We also had Sunday brunch the following day with more delicious food. We wanted a really relaxed, fun wedding. After looking around we fell in love with Vallum farm. The location is picturesque. Vicky, the owner is so easy going and nothing was too much trouble. We had the day exactly as we wanted, from the layout, the food, the timings, nothing was an issue. The food was amazing! It suited our personalities so much! We had our wedding here on 4th August 2018 and I can’t honestly say, it was the best day ever. From our initial chat to the actual big day, Vicky, Alice and their team worked with us to develop a personal and rather unique day. They were very accommodating and helped us devise a bespoke day that fits our style and personality. Nothing was too much trouble and they worked seamlessly to make sure our day went perfectly and for that, we cannot thank you enough. The venue is beautiful, the Marquee is a stunning place to get married, the Tipi was a great addition to the site as it gives a sheltered outside space and gives guests the option to sit indoors or out. The garden games went down really well with the adults whilst the ice cream cart was a HUGE hit with the children. The food, there is no other words to describe the food but truly amazing. The chefs work to the highest standards and use the best locally sourced ingredients and the end result was delicious. The canapés were not your standard boring canapés, the wedding breakfast was perfect and the evening meal was served out of the horse box which added another experience for our guests and the sliders were out of this world. The food here is faultless, the chefs are legends. Anyone looking at this page to consider Vallum to host their wedding, DO IT, you will have an amazing day . From the moment we visited Vallum Farm, we wanted to get married there. It was the first venue we went to and we felt we didn’t need to see any others. It’s like a blank canvas, so much opportunity. Vicky and her team are so laid back and accommodating of any ideas you have. The food then sold it completely for us. We visited twice for Sunday lunch in the run up to the wedding and it was so delicious. Our guests said they’d never tasted such great wedding food! Our vegetarian and vegan guests were catered for throughout. The Vegan guests said it was the best Vegan meal they’d had so far and asked for details of the Vegan Cheese as they’d struggled to find a nice one. Vallum Farm was the perfect venue for our perfect day. The setting was beautiful and very picturesque, which was mirrored by the beautiful indoor marquee. There are plenty of photo opportunities both inside and out, and the fire pit puts the cherry on top and was a great place for all our guests to hang out and chat. The food was amazing, we went for the barbeque option, and although the weather wasn’t perfect and we had to bring it inside, the burgers and sausages and veggie options etc were very tasty, as our guests kept reminding us, and the serving of the food was very well organised. The addition of the ice cream stall is a must and was a massive hit for our guests and made sure that people never went hungry throughout the day. The whole day was very well organised and Vicky and Alice made sure that we were always looked after, and there was always staff on hand if we ever needed anything. My husband and I got married here and I don’t even know where to start, this place is truly amazing, the marquee looked stunning, it is the most perfect venue for a memorable wedding! The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional, the food was absolutely fantastic, everyone commented on it (and still are) especially the scotch eggs on our afternoon tea, plus all the delicious scones and cakes, we were so pleased we chose the afternoon tea! As for the evening snack, we had pies, steak and ale, and chicken and leek, we’ve never heard the end of it from our guests on how nice they were! A few people had several and then took some home! Where do we start with this fantastic venue, from the moment we seen the venue we just knew we were going to get married here! The venue offered the rustic farm wedding we had always hoped for, in the most amazing grounds. The marquee in the barn was stunning, the modern feel instead is not what people expect. The staff, and particularly Vicky, were brilliant. Nothing we asked for was an issue and Vicky was always on hand, or email, to answer our questions. Vicky helped us arrange all the little details and has a lovely selection of decoration free to use. We were all set for our special day… But then the Beast from the East hit us and it looked like our wedding would be postponed as Vallum Farm was impassable to most traffic! Vicky and the team went above and beyond to make our wedding happen, from travelling to Durham to collect chefs and staff to clearing the mounts of snow on the farm! And wow what a beautiful snowy wedding we had. We honestly cannot recommend this venue and the staff enough. Our guests were blown away with the stunning venue and lovely staff.
